Mt. Horeb will be getting a new custom home and new residents soon! The McBains came to us with a request to build them their new house on a lot they had already purchased.   After the details of their 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home with roughly 2,400 sqft were worked out the building process began.  However, mother nature had other ideas by drenching us with lots of rain that made for a very muddy worksite, but our crews were undaunted.  I really have to give our subcontractors credit for they are always the ones who are out in the elements doing their jobs. We are scheduled to have this house move-in ready sometime around mid to late September and the McBain’s will have time to get settled in and celebrate the holidays in their new home.

During this build we at Design Custom Homes implemented a new construction software that enables us to coordinate and communicate the project specifics with clients and subcontractors more efficiently.  The McBain’s had the honor (I use that term loosely) of being our first client entered into this system.  They stood by patiently while we learned the intricacies of our new software and more than likely received multiple emails about changes or additions to their schedule. We would like to thank them for their assistance and participation during the rollout.
