Christianson Custom Home

The Christiansons built a beautiful home on the Yahara River in Stoughton over 40 years ago and raised their family.  However, since their children have all grown and left home, the house and land were just a little too much for them to maintain.  They looked at lots and spec houses in Windsor and they decided their next home would be built in Windsor Corner.  Not only did they love the area it allowed them to be closer to their son and grandchildren.

Their next steps were to find a builder and design the house the way they wanted it.  Since this was going to be their forever home they wanted to tailor it to meet their needs and requirements — that is what a custom home is, after all! Happily they connected with Keith at Design Custom Homes and the planning process started.  How many bedrooms, bathrooms, and garag es. Do they want a 3-season porch, a deck, or maybe both? Then one needs to pick out colors, materials, and finishes!  There are a lot of choices and decisions one  must make when you are designing a home and it can be overwhelming for the buyer.  However, these processes can be made easier when you have really good vendors that offer supportive and informative customer service.  Deann and Anika at Coyle Carpet Floor & Home were instrumental in helping the Christiansons pick out flooring and cabinet choices, Kaitlyn at RHD Plumbing met with them to discuss and help select from the numerous  options available when it comes to kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and Randy at United Brick & Fireplace provided his knowledge to pick out the right fireplace.

The house now has walls and the building continues at a brisk pace.  We will add  more photos as the construction progresses.  We know the Christiansons are eager to be in  their new home.
